The day my entire cleaning route doubled and I almost quit by noon
Last Tuesday I had 6 houses booked back to back, which never happens. House 3 was the one with the 3 golden retrievers and the owner forgot to tell me they were renovating the kitchen. I walked in and there was sawdust everywhere, paint drips on the baseboards, and a ladder in the middle of the living room. I spent 2 extra hours just on that place. Then house 5 called to say they lost their keys so I had to wait 40 minutes in my van. By the end I was ready to sell the whole business for 50 bucks. But then the last client tipped me $80 cash because her mom was coming to visit and she said I "saved her life". Weirdest emotional swing I've had in a single workday. Has anyone else had a day where everything went wrong then randomly got saved by one nice person?
