Two books about a place I visited, somehow they matched
Grabbed a beat-up field guide to Yosemite and a local diner cookbook from the same thrift store in Fresno before my trip last month. The guide talked about granite walls, the cookbook had a pie recipe from a spot near the park entrance. Has anyone else paired a nature manual with a regional food book for the same location?

Done it with the Blue Ridge Parkway and a moonshine cookbook. The nature guide gave me trail names, the cookbook told me what the locals ate after those hikes. It's the best combo if you want the full picture of a place, not just the postcard version.
