Hell yeah, that hits home! Two summers ago my truck died outside Moab. No parts store for 60 miles. But I had this old Haynes manual under the seat and a beat-up copy of Endurance. Spent the whole day swapping a cracked belt while reading about Shackleton. Nothing beats fixing your own rig while reading about dudes freezing their butts off.
