12 weeks into my build and the loft ladder still isn't mounted

I measured the opening three separate times, but the angle on my 62 degree ladder ended up blocking the window in my 8 foot loft. Has anyone else dealt with ladder placement eating up wall space, or did you just go with a straight ship ladder instead?

Stop overthinking it and just get the angle right before you mount anything else. A 62 degree ladder in an 8 foot space is asking for trouble unless you planned the swing perfectly. I've seen guys ditch the fancy ladder and bolt in a straight ship ladder, way less headaches with window clearance. Measure the floor footprint too, not just the opening, that's where the real mistake happens. You can always cut a notch or raise the mounting point, but you gotta commit to one fix instead of measuring again.
