Update: my reconsideration appeal got denied after waiting 14 weeks in Ohio

I filed for SSDI back in March with a herniated disc and nerve damage, got my initial denial in July, then appealed for reconsideration. I waited 14 weeks in Columbus and they sent a letter saying no change, with a nurse reviewer noting my MRI results didn't match their functional criteria. My lawyer says the next step is an ALJ hearing, but that could take another 8 months. Has anyone had luck getting a hearing moved up by submitting new evidence like a failed epidural injection report?

Take that 14 weeks of waiting as a free lesson in patience, because apparently the Ohio system thinks 8 months is a speedrun. A failed epidural report might help, but don't hold your breath, they'll probably lose it for another quarter. Honestly, at this rate you'll have healed, re-injured, and healed again before that hearing date.
