My attorney's paralegal said something that flipped my whole appeal strategy

Last Tuesday I was on the phone with the paralegal about my hearing date and she mentioned that most judges in Louisville decide based on your work history consistency, not the new doctor notes I've been piling up. She said 'they want to see you tried everything for years, not that you finally got a diagnosis.' That hit different because I spent the last 14 months chasing specialists and now I'm wondering if I should push for an earlier onset date instead. Has anyone else gotten advice that made you rethink how you present your case?
