That patient who refused to sit still after fusion surgery
Tbh, I had a guy in his 50s who came in 3 days post-op for L4-L5 fusion and he was doing lawn chairs in the waiting room, told me 'pain is just weakness leaving the body.' I had to physically stop him from bending over to tie his shoes, and his X-ray later showed a slight shift at the hardware. Has anyone else dealt with patients who think recovery is a suggestion?
