Picked the red wire over the blue wire in The Room 3 and paid for it hard

Was stuck at that puzzle in the attic after the elevator shaft. The cables were identical except for the casing. Red looked like the obvious choice, blue felt like the trap. Took the red one, got a pretty solid shock reaction and the whole thing locked up for 20 minutes. Had to restart from the autosave that put me back in the boiler room. Blue was fine, turns out it just opened a cabinet. Anyone else trust their gut on these color coded ones and regret it? My gut owes me an apology.

Wait, you actually got shocked by it? I thought those wires were just for show, like the game wouldn't actually punish you for picking the wrong color with a real damage penalty. That's brutal design honestly... I picked blue first because red in that room looked too obvious, and I figured the devs wanted you to question yourself. But I got lucky, it just opened a dumb cabinet with a key inside. Your gut and mine are clearly not on speaking terms right now... twenty minutes locked in the boiler room sounds like a nightmare. I would've just quit and looked up a guide at that point.
