Finally caved on Outer Wilds, the clock mechanic had me all wrong
I avoided Outer Wilds for like 2 years because I saw the 22 minute loop and figured it would just stress me out more than anything. Then my buddy kept nagging me about it and I gave in last month. The sneaky part is the timer isnt a countdown to failure, its a countdown to a reset that lets you try a different idea. Once I stopped treating it like a speedrun and just started following breadcrumbs from the rumor map, things clicked hard. The quantum moon bit broke my brain for a solid evening until I realized the game rewards you for just paying attention to the rules it teaches you. I think I logged 14 hours before I even touched the Ash Twin project, and it was all worth it. Anyone else get stuck on a game's premise only to love it once you gave it a real shot?

My dog sat in my lap the whole time I played that game, and now he runs off whenever he hears the banjo.
