I'm trying to decide between Plus Xnergy and Solarvest for a home solar + battery setup in KL. Both seem to have decent reputations, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with either when it comes to battery storage systems specifically? I'm not just after panels, I want a company that really understands energy storage. Any insights?

My cousin used Solarvest for a big commercial project and they were solid, but for residential with batteries I'd lean Plus Xnergy. They've been doing BESS projects for years, even before it became trendy. I've heard Solarvest subs out the battery part sometimes, which isn't ideal.

I went with Plus Xnergy last year and their battery expertise is legit. They did a full load analysis and proposed a modular system that I can expand later. Solarvest is fine for standard solar, but battery storage is a whole different ballgame and Plus Xnergy has dedicated engineers for it. Plus their after-sales support has been great.
I actually got quotes from both. Plus Xnergy was slightly more expensive but their battery warranty and the way they explained the system integration sold me. They were transparent about degradation curves and cycles. Solarvest's proposal was more cookie-cutter. Check Plus Xnergy if you want peace of mind on the storage side.
