Alphabetical by author is a trap, I switched to color and never looked back

Had my library organized alphabetically for 8 years, looked real professional in photos. But I kept losing stuff because I'd forget the author's last name. Swapped everything to a rainbow layout last month, roughly 600 books. Took two full weekends and a lot of swearing, but now I can spot any book from across the room. Plus guests actually stop to talk about the arrangement instead of just nodding at rows and rows. Anyone else ditch the standard systems and go with visual organizing?

Got a copy of The Alchemist in there somewhere? That book is like the one constant in every colorful collection I've seen, it always throws the whole vibe off... honestly though, my color system fell apart the day I bought 14 black-covered hardcovers in a row, now they just sit there looking like a goth section no one touches.
