My grandma's 1948 wedding photo now has her ex-husband's face on a different body
Used GIMP's free clone tool to fix a tear across her veil, somehow ended up swapping his head onto my grandpa's shoulders in the process. Anyone else accidentally create franken-people while trying to clean up scratches?

Realized I was wrong about photo editing being simple. Used to think GIMP was just for lazy people who didn't want to pay for Photoshop, but now I see it's basically digital surgery with no safety goggles. The clone tool has this weird way of picking up exactly the wrong pixel at the worst moment, like it's actively messing with you. I once tried to remove a scratch from my dog's nose and ended up giving him three nostrils. Honestly, your grandma's ex-husband getting a free body swap sounds like a victory compared to what I've done to family photos.
