Dropped $18 on a 1930s camping guide, now I'm split on using it
Found this beat-up Boy Scout handbook from 1934 at a library sale and the knot diagrams are unreal, but half the advice like eating pine needles feels like a trip to the ER. Anyone else grabbed old outdoor guides and ended up torn between following them or just framing them for the shelf?

Pine needles are actually a legit vitamin C source, just not the ones from yew trees. Probably safer to just hang the thing on the wall and use a modern handbook for actual camping.
