The 2 pm courthouse phone trick that saved my client $1,200
Last month I finally figured out that calling the county clerk's office right after lunch on a Thursday gets you a real person in under 3 minutes. Morning calls were 20 minute wait times and I almost missed a filing deadline. Has anyone else found a magic time to call their local courthouse?

I heard a paralegal friend say the same thing about the assessor's office, she swears by the 1:30 pm slot on Wednesdays. Bad weather days are also apparently gold, fewer people make the trip in.
