Managed to fix a bubbled patch without a full redo

Had this old wall where the plaster was bubbling up. Mixed a small batch and feathered it in perfectly. It dried seamless, and you can't even tell it was there. What's your go-to method for blending repairs like this? Always looking to improve my technique.

Honestly used to think you needed way more mud for it to stick. Seeing a tight feather edge hold up changed my whole game. Now I just focus on really thin layers and patience.

Wait, you're actually getting a dried seamless result? Every time I try, there's still a weird lumpy texture (especially in corners) or you can see where the tape was. Are you using some kind of magic compound I don't know about?
