Remember my friend who bought GameStop after everyone was already shouting about it? He saw one viral post and threw rent money at it, then had a full panic attack when it dipped 20% in a day. Took his loss and bought some crypto a YouTuber hyped, which also tanked. Dude was checking his phone every five minutes, it was actually sad. Learned the hard way that hype is NOT research.

Did he actually miss rent because of that, or did he have to borrow money to cover it? Seems like the real cost of following hype.
