Ugh YES about pay getting cut from door sales. My friend's band played a show last month and the venue took a huge chunk right off the top before the band got their split. They basically made less money even though more people showed up. It feels like every place is changing their deal to keep more for themselves. It's getting hard for acts to actually make anything at the door anymore.
