Had to turn around halfway because the trail was overgrown and not maintained like the park website said. Do they ever actually check these paths?

Yeah, that's seriously annoying when the info online is wrong. I've run into that a lot where trails just aren't kept up like they claim. Makes you wonder what the maintenance budget actually gets spent on.
