The stop sign on Maple and 5th has been wrong for three months now
It's a four way stop, but the sign facing west is missing the white border. Just the red octagon, no trim. I drive that way to work every day and pointed it out to my neighbor last week. He looked at me like I was nuts and said 'they all look the same to me.' Took a picture yesterday to prove it. Has anyone else seen a public sign just... change like that?

My buddy had a streetlight by his house that just started blinking yellow instead of red. For weeks he was the only one who seemed to notice or care. He finally called the city and they said the lens had faded from sun damage. Makes you wonder how much we just stop seeing after a while, right? Your neighbor probably looks at that stop sign ten times a day and his brain just fills in the white border because it expects it to be there.

Wow, that reminds me of a crosswalk button by my old place that broke and just stayed lit up for months. You just get used to the broken normal, right?
