PSA: A drop of dish soap in your water sprayer stops those tiny glass shards from sticking everywhere.
I was cutting a 48x60 piece of 1/4 inch tempered for a storefront job and the cleanup was taking forever. Has anyone tried this with a different soap or is Dawn the only one that works?

Actually, it's not really about the soap brand. The trick is just having any surfactant to break the surface tension of the water. I've used a tiny bit of cheap hand soap in a pinch and it worked fine. The goal is to make the water 'wetter' so it weighs down the tiny particles and keeps them from floating around. You don't need the fancy blue Dawn for this one, any basic soap will do the job.

Remember my buddy who swore by Dawn? He tried some generic dish soap last week and it worked exactly the same. Totally changed his mind about needing the name brand stuff. Just proves your point about any surfactant doing the job.

My dog once ate a whole bar of soap, which @vera292 would not recommend.
