Heard a guy at the supply house say 'tempered is tempered, it's all the same'
I was picking up a custom cut for a shower door in Phoenix and this other installer was arguing with the counter guy. He insisted the cheaper imported tempered glass was 'just as good' as the domestic stuff for a high traffic commercial job. The counter guy mentioned the import had a failure rate about 3 times higher in their heat tests. It just made me think, we're putting our name on this stuff. If that panel blows in a food court, who gets the call? Ever had a client push you to use a cheaper material that you knew was a bad idea?

Used to agree, but a failure changed my mind.

3 years back I bombed a big project at work and honestly it was the best thing that happened to me. Made me rethink my whole approach to things and now I actually stop to think before jumping into stuff.

Honestly that "failure changed my mind" thing is so real. Tbh the best move is to just write down what you learned from it. Makes the whole mess feel way more useful.
