Spotted some really clear quartz veins on a trail last week

I was hiking in Colorado and found quartz veins cutting through the granite. It shows how minerals form under heat and pressure.

That geology meme going around last week had me feeling the same way. Like we can carbon date a layer of shale to 150 million years but my 5 year plan is just a vague blob. Sometimes I wish life came with those little identification tags like museum rocks get. Just a neat card saying what I am and how old I should be when I figure it out lmao.
