My old tablet's battery life went from 8 hours to 2 in under a year
I bought a Galaxy Tab S9 last spring and it was great, lasting a full workday on a charge. After about 10 months of daily use, it now dies before lunch unless I keep it plugged in. Is this normal degradation or did I get a bad unit?

What did you expect, a gold watch for your battery? That's just how they're built now. Planned obsolescence is the real feature you paid for.

Did my friend's new tablet do the same thing?

Man, that is rough. @the_mia if their tablet died the same way, it's probably got the same cheap battery. They all do that now, it's like they want us to buy a new one every couple years. You practically gotta keep the thing plugged in all day just to get any use out of it.
