Can we talk about those $100 'smart' doorbells?

I bought one last fall for my front door, thinking it would be a big upgrade from my old buzzer. After six months, the video feed is always choppy and it missed a package delivery guy completely. What's a better option that actually works when you need it?

My $80 doorbell recorded 47 clips of a swaying tree branch last week but somehow slept through the actual UPS guy. I've started calling it my very expensive, very dumb welcome mat.

Those cheap ones are a total waste of money. You need a solid Wi-Fi connection and a brand with good reviews. I'd look at the mid-range models from more reliable companies.
