Had a client bring in a chair that smelled like a wet dog, tried a crazy fix
The odor was baked in from years in a damp garage. In a panic, I grabbed a cheap vodka spray bottle from under my sink and gave the whole frame a light mist. Let it dry for a day and the smell was totally gone. Anyone ever try something this weird that actually worked?

Ever notice how the weirdest fixes come from just using what you already have at home? I swear half the stuff in my cleaning cabinet is just random things that worked once in a panic. It feels like we're all just doing little science experiments on our own stuff.

Totally feel that. My kitchen cabinet is basically a mad scientist lab at this point. Found out toothpaste gets rid of water stains on glass like magic. Now I'm scared to throw anything out because what if it fixes something weird later?

Man I did the exact same thing with toothpaste last week on a water ring on my coffee table. Felt like a genius but also kinda dumb that I didn't just buy glass cleaner. Now I'm convinced that half the stuff under my sink is just waiting for its moment to shine.
