That half jar of pickled jalapenos ruined my omelet plan
Last Tuesday I found a half jar of pickled jalapenos and a sad block of cheddar in the back of my fridge, so I tried to make a breakfast scramble with old eggs. The jalapenos had turned the whole pan pink and the eggs came out tasting like vinegar bathwater, which my cat refused to even sniff. Does anyone else just toss anything with brine after a week, or do you have a trick to repurpose that leftover juice without ruining a whole meal?

Wait, are you sure those were pickled jalapenos and not some kind of pepper mash? Real pickled jalapenos don't usually turn eggs pink, that sounds more like a red pepper or tomato thing. Maybe check the label next time cause that might be your real problem, not the brine.

people are really out here doing full forensic analysis on pickled eggs huh? i bet half the jars in my fridge have labels that are peeling off and i just eat whatever floats in there. it's not that deep, if it tasted good then it worked.
