Pro tip: A client in Chicago said my invoices looked 'unprofessional' and messy.
They specifically pointed out the inconsistent date formats and missing project codes. I switched to a template with clear line items and got paid 5 days faster on the next one, has anyone else fixed a small detail that made a big difference?

Yeah, the date format thing is such a silent killer. Were you mixing up slashes and dashes, or was it more like spelling out the month versus using numbers? I've seen that confuse accounting departments way more than it should.

Honestly, sticking to YYYY-MM-DD as a company-wide rule saved us so much trouble, @avery_fox93. It just removes the guesswork for everyone, especially with international teams. Tbh, forcing that standard was the only thing that finally fixed our invoice mess.

Yeah the "silent killer" thing is spot on, had a buddy whose invoices kept getting rejected for that exact mixup.
