Appreciation post: That long wait for the perfect pour finally paid off

After months of tweaking the mold temp... we got a perfect cast today. It felt so good to see it come out clean.

Haha, that's awesome! I mean, I can only imagine how good that must feel. My idea of a perfect pour is when I don't spill coffee all over the counter, idk. Seriously though, months of tweaking sounds like a lot of work, and I'd probably give up after a week. It's cool to see that kind of patience actually pay off. Maybe it's just me, but I get way too excited over small wins like that.

Yeah I saw an article about how some people get really into the science of it. Totally get what @kim_martin means about the small wins though, that's the fun part.
