Tried a weird trick for wilting hydrangeas and it actually worked

Had a client order for a wedding in August, and the hydrangeas were drooping in the heat before I could even load the van. Saw a florist online say to dunk the whole head in cool water for 15 minutes. Did it, and they perked right back up. What's your go-to save for a sad flower?

My grandma taught me that trick with roses back in 2010. It's wild how the simplest fix is usually the right one, like just giving something what it actually needs.

Exactly, @angelacooper. People overcomplicate everything now. Your grandma had it right. Just see what the thing is missing and give it that. Works for plants, works for most stuff. We ignore the simple answer because it seems too easy. But it's usually the only thing that actually works.
