Actually moving it away from light worked? Every guide says they need bright indirect light, not less of it. Mine always get crispy leaves if I put them somewhere dim. You must have found some magic spot in your house.

Yeah, crispy leaves usually mean too much light in my experience. Mine actually do better with less direct sun than most guides suggest.
