Learned that lesson the hard way with a truck full of mulch. Proper airflow isn't just a suggestion, it's what keeps your whole load from going bad. A little extra space saves a lot of money.

Tell me about it. Had a load of wood chips turn into a smelly, hot mess once because we packed it too tight. It started steaming in the middle like a compost pile. Now we always leave a good foot of air at the top of the trailer. That mold smell is a sure sign you messed up the airflow.
