Swore by my old nailer until a job in Denver last month proved me wrong.

I was setting hardwood in a 90-year-old house with crazy subfloor movement, and my usual pneumatic gun just wouldn't seat right, but a buddy lent me his cordless model and it handled the bounce perfectly, so what other tools have you all switched to for tricky old builds?

My buddy's old framing nailer kept jamming on reclaimed timber, so he swapped to a manual coil nailer for the whole project.

Hey @cooper.piper, I read that old timber's uneven density can really mess with pneumatic nailers!

Wow, I totally thought those nailers could handle anything! I was using mine on some old barn wood last year and it kept driving nails in sideways. The dense knots just DEFLECTED them like crazy. I had to pull out like ten bent nails. Now I get why that uneven stuff needs a different approach.
