PSA: I was at a demo in Portland and saw a guy use a 6-inch oscillating tool blade for undercutting door casings.

He did a whole doorway in maybe 90 seconds, way cleaner than my jigsaw. Anyone else switch to that method?

Always used a jigsaw but that sounds way faster.

Yeah but is it really that much faster once you factor in setup and cleanup? Jigsaw you just grab and go, no need to mess with a track or worry about the blade drifting. I've seen guys spend 15 minutes getting a circular saw dialed in for a cut that takes 30 seconds. Plus with a jigsaw you can actually see the line, track saws you're always guessing unless you've got a laser guide. Not saying it's not a good tool, just that the speed difference isn't as dramatic as people make it sound for most basic cuts.
