My take on adhesive spreaders did a full turn after a messy tile job
I always grabbed whatever spreader was on hand to save a minute. Last week, a notch that was too shallow made the tiles not stick right. I had to pull up half the floor and start over. Now I check the notch size for every type of tile. It actually speeds things up in the end.

You mentioned the collapse pattern under the tile. That's a good point. Can you explain what a proper collapse pattern looks like for a bigger tile, like a 12x24? I'm trying to picture how the ridges should flatten out without leaving empty pockets.

A 1/4 inch square notch lays down adhesive totally different than a v-notch. The collapse pattern under the tile is what really locks it in place.
