Man, that story hits close to home. I had a similar wake up call last year working in a tiny laundry room, the smell from that adhesive just hung in the air for hours. It really spooked me, thinking what that might be doing to someone living there. Now I always reach for the low VOC stuff even though it tests my patience waiting for it to set. Totally worth the trade off for peace of mind.
