Unpopular opinion: digital pattern making killed my creativity at first
I used to draft everything on paper with a pencil and ruler for 8 years. Last summer I switched to a tablet and software after my wrist started hurting from all the cutting. Honestly, the first 3 months were a disaster because I kept fighting the tools instead of letting them help. Now I can adjust a sleeve curve in 20 seconds instead of 20 minutes, which changed how I design. But I still think beginners should learn on paper first to understand how shapes really work. Has anyone else felt slower after going digital?

Oh man, I felt this one deep. Same thing happened to me when I switched over - I spent weeks wanting to toss my tablet out a window because muscle memory from paper made me slow. Stick with it though, you'll hit a flow where the software just gets out of your way and you can focus on the fun part again. How long did it take before you stopped second-guessing every digital move?

Took me about three months actually, not two like you said.
