Ran into an old professor at a thrift shop who said my pleats looked stiff
She told me I was too scared of the fabric breathing and now I barely touch the iron to anything unless it's really bad, anyone else get that kind of feedback that just sticks with you?

Man that's brutal, getting fashion advice from a thrift shop professor while you're just trying to browse used books or whatever. At least she didn't pull out a ruler and measure your pleats on the spot, that would've been next level.
I got told once that my jeans looked "angry" and now I can't wear raw denim without feeling like I'm personally offending the fabric's emotions.
Bet that professor has a closet full of effortlessly rumpled linen and a whole lecture prepared on why starch is the devil.
You ever try just telling your pleats to relax and see if that helps, or is it too late for that relationship?
