Bought a $40 fabric swatch book and it saved my whole collection
I was about to drop a lot of money on this specific green linen for a jacket, but the swatch showed it was way more yellow in person than online. The book has over 200 samples, so now I check everything against it before I order. Has anyone else found a good way to check colors without buying a ton of material first?

That's a solid move with the swatch book. I've been burned by monitor color settings before, it's a real problem. Do you find the fabric samples in the book are close to what you actually get when you order yardage, or is there still a difference in larger pieces?

Ugh, tell me about it @evan56. I got a swatch that looked perfect, but the full yardage was way more shiny in daylight. Still better than trusting my screen though.
