Hot take: I switched from a standard rounding hammer to a cross pein for my clinching

For years I just used whatever hammer was in my box, but a clinic in Kentucky last spring convinced me to try a dedicated cross pein. The control on those final nails is night and day, especially on a feisty quarter horse. Anyone else have a specific tool that changed their clinch work?

That's a rounding hammer, not a cross pein.

This happens everywhere now, people just use the wrong names for things. It's like nobody cares about getting the details right anymore.
