Finally got a clean clinch on a draft horse after three tries last week
The owner in Bellingham said his Percheron always pulls shoes, but I watched the horse move and saw the issue was in the heel. I used a wider web shoe and took my time setting it. Anyone have a go-to shoe for heavy pullers on soft ground?

That wider web was a smart move. Had a Belgian that kept losing shoes, and a plain stamped shoe with a rolled toe finally held for him.

Yeah, the rolled toe is key for traction. But calling it a "plain stamped shoe" might confuse folks. A stamped shoe is just the basic flat plate. The rolled toe is a specific add-on, a separate forge job. So it's a stamped shoe with a rolled toe, not a plain one. That detail matters for ordering.
