My great-grandmother's cameo brooch snapped in half when I dropped it last week. I'm torn between trying to restore it or leaving it broken as part of its story.

Can you glue it with dramatic flair?

Just glue it back together and tell people she was a sword swallower. The story is better and you can still wear it. My aunt did that with a cracked teacup, said it was from a bar fight. Nobody questions it after that.
