Tried a new micellar water on a client yesterday and got weird results

Used a popular brand I never tried before on a clog-prone client and her pores looked worse after 10 minutes. She said her nose felt sticky too. Anyone else have a cleanser that backfired like that?

Honestly the whole "pores looked worse after 10 minutes" thing sounds dramatic. @thompson.finley jumps straight to residue and extra ingredients but come on. You wiped her face, it's not like you left a puddle on her nose. Sometimes pores just look bigger right after cleansing because they're clean and open. The sticky feeling though, yeah some micellar waters leave a film. I'd bet money it was just the formula being thick or she had makeup residue mixing with it. Not every little reaction means the product is trash. Try it on a different client with clean bare skin and see what happens before writing it off.

Wait did you wipe it off or just leave it on? Micellar water is supposed to be rinsed off even though some brands say you don't have to. I've seen that sticky feeling a few times with clients, usually it means there's still residue left behind. Could be the formula just clashed with her skin type too, some of those fancy waters have extra stuff in them that can clog pores. I'd try a super basic one next time, like plain old witch hazel or a gentle foaming wash. Definitely not a good look when pores look worse after cleaning.
