Had a week where 3 clients in a row canceled for the same reason

Last Tuesday all three said they had a bad reaction to a new serum they bought online. I spent the whole week just restocking my treatment room and reading ingredient labels instead of working. Anyone else run into clients mixing random products with your treatments?

Huh. Three people with the exact same excuse sounds more like a group chat got together and made up a story than a real problem. A little redness and bumpiness isn't exactly a crisis, people get that from a bad batch of coffee sometimes. Unless they're scarring or swelling up, I'd say just shrug it off and move on.

Oh come on, really? You're gonna write off three people with the same reaction as a group chat conspiracy? That's a pretty big leap. Skin reactions to products aren't that rare, especially if they all used the same serum or something from the same source. I've seen it happen before, it's not like they're comparing notes, it's just a common problem with certain ingredients. And "a little redness and bumpiness" can be a real issue for people, it's not always about scarring or swelling. Some folks have sensitive skin and that stuff lingers for days, messing up their routine and their confidence. It's worth taking seriously instead of just telling them to shrug it off.

Three of my regulars did the same thing last spring with some vitamin C serum they found on Instagram. It left their skin all red and bumpy and they swore I changed my products. I had to walk them through ingredient lists over the phone for an hour. Told em straight up, don't mix internet stuff with pro treatments.
