Just passed 12,000 connected devices on our campus network and it threw me off
I knew we were growing but seeing that number in the dashboard actually made me pause. Has anyone else had their bandwidth planning thrown way off by unexpected device growth?

Man, I used to think 5,000 was a lot until we hit 8,000 and the network just died.

Our network actually handled 12,000 users at a local event last week without breaking a sweat, so your mileage may vary depending on the hardware. Maybe the real bottleneck was your router, not the number of devices.

Was your IT team properly segmenting traffic by device type? We had a similar jump and found that isolating IoT stuff from regular devices made a huge difference.
