Watched a new guy at a 12-stop residential in Phoenix leave the hatch resting on a door track for 10 minutes

If you're working a job where the hoistway door is propped, please check that the hatch or any tool isn't sitting on the track itself because I just saw that bend the track ever so slightly and that door is not closing right on the top floor now has anyone else seen this cause a call back later?

Can't believe someone would rest a hatch on a door track like that

Agree completely, that's just asking for trouble. Had a guy at my old shop do the same thing with a Ford hatchback hatch and the door track got bent in like 10 seconds flat. Door wouldn't close right for weeks after that. People don't think about how much weight that thin metal can't handle. Makes me cringe just looking at that picture.
