That unit in the old Masonic building downtown is a whole different beast than it was 5 years ago
I used to hate every call to that Otis elevator in the Masonic temple on 3rd Street. Now they swapped out the original 1980s controller for an MCE last year, and it runs smoother than most brand new installs I see. The difference in leveling accuracy is night and day. Has anybody else noticed a huge jump when a building finally gives up on the old relay logic?

That MCE swap in the old Masonic building on 3rd was a game changer. If you ever deal with an old Otis 401 controller, just bite the bullet and upgrade the drive package too, you'll save yourself a ton of headaches.

Reminds me of the time we had to replace a whole motor on a Sunday.
