PSA: A faulty door zone sensor on a 90s Dover hydraulic had me stumped for a full shift.

The fault code was intermittent and the manual's diagnostic tree was wrong, leading me to check everything else first. Anyone have a good trick for testing those old Z-10 boards without just swapping parts?

Ever get that feeling the manual is just messing with you?

Feel like they wrote it in a different language on purpose.

Read a post the other day from an old timer saying those boards have a common cold solder joint that drives everyone crazy. Swears by giving the board a gentle flex while the car's running to see if the fault pops up. Might be worth a shot before you start throwing parts at it. Usually the issue is right near the power relay, not the main chip.
