Finally got the old Otis at the county courthouse to pass inspection after two days.

The county inspector said the governor rope tension was off by 40 pounds, which was a first for me. Anyone else run into that on a pre-1970 traction unit?

You sure the inspector wasn't just nitpicking? @oliviac22, those old Otis governors usually have a bit more tolerance than that unless something else is binding.
