Finally cracked the code on stubborn door sensors after a rainy season

The constant false calls from door sensors during wet weather were driving me nuts. In my experience, switching to a simple vinegar wipe-down and tweaking the sensitivity settings made a huge difference. Has anyone found a better way to handle this kind of problem?

My own battle with door sensors last monsoon was a comedy of errors. I once tried cleaning them with lemon juice because we were out of vinegar, and the smell attracted every ant in the neighborhood. Then I cranked the sensitivity so high that the door would slam shut if a butterfly landed nearby. Still got false alarms every time it drizzled. Ended up just accepting the beeps as part of the ambiance, lol.

Lemon juice for sensors, @murray.troy? That's a new one.
