Tried using a reciprocating saw for EMT conduit yesterday
My boss laughed his ass off when I showed up with a Sawzall instead of a bandsaw. After fighting through 3 sticks of 3/4" and trashing 2 blades, I finally see why everyone just uses the bandsaw. Anyone else try to cut corners and learn the hard way?

Man I did the exact same thing with my first 10 sticks of 1/2" EMT. Wound up with a blade stuck halfway through the last one and had to cut it out with a hacksaw. Switched to a cheap compact bandsaw from Harbor Freight for about 60 bucks and it changed everything. Night and day difference, the cuts are clean and I can zip through a whole stick in 10 seconds without burning up blades.

Did my buddy Don learn that lesson with PVC pipe instead of EMT?

Oh man @blakem82 knows the struggle. Tried a portaband once and it walked off the job site before I could even get comfortable with it.
